Agility is an exciting sport suitable for anyone with a dog. In agility competitions pet owners of different ages and genders and their pets — both mixed-breed and pedigree dogs — compete as equals.
Agility essentially means that the owner directs the dog through an obstacle course and the main objective is to be faster than everyone else and to not make mistakes in the obstacle course. The owner directs the dog only with voice and gestures. The use of treats and toys is not allowed in the competition, and the dog has to run without a leash or collar and the owner can touch neither the dog, nor the obstacles. The dog perceives agility as a game; it's a great way to keep yourself and your pet in a good physical shape and also enjoy it!
