Riga City Festival offers its young viewers a paper puppet performance “The Puppet Beings Theatre Company” by Riga’s sister city, Taipei, puppet theatre.
The play was created as an Object Theatre in order to enhance children’s imagination and creativity. The stage, puppets and props are all made of paper; a provocation for viewers’ imagination limits and actors’ work, as it requires excellent workmanship.
The purpose of the performance is to develop paper theatre art, to promote the idea of a one-material object theatre, and to lead young audiences into the world of unbounded imagination and divers creativity. Performance "The Paper Play" has won awards in "Most Creative Play" and "Best Performance" nomination categories at Shanghai International Children Theatre Festival in 2009.

Children three and older are invited to the play.
Entry with invitations that can be obtained for free at “Biļešu paradīze” ticket offices. The performance is organized in cooperation with Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia and Riga’s friendship city Taipei.
