Come and join us at the Latgalian market to savor all kinds of goods from the villages of Latgale. Starting from savory rye-bread, baked on maple leaves, homemade cottage cheese, smoked meat, homemade sausages and pork, raspberry and black currant wines, real countryside ale, fruit juice marmalades, honey and beeswax goods, herbal teas, to traditional Latgalian ceramics and soup from a large family kettle. Don’t miss this cozy countryside atmosphere, just as in Latgale itself!
There is also a great opportunity to watch potters work with clay, weavers weave on traditional looms, and blacksmiths forge in a smithy at Jēkabs Square.We also invite you to explore tourism possibilities in Latgale at one of our stands.
