During the festival of traditional culture ” BIG ROADS, SMALL ROADS, EVERYONE ENDED UP IN RĪGA'' Vērmanes Garden in the centre of Rīga will pulsate like a city's heart should - with its little streets, musicians and workshops. Visitors will be invited to get actively involved in the events taking place: to sing along, go shopping, to learn craft skills and the main thing - to relax and have a good time.

Event Description:
The annual market with its fine folk decorative arts and traditional demonstrations of craft skills is already a tradition at the Rīga Festival. You'll also see book stalls organized by the Latvian Booksellers Association there.
At 11.30am there'll be the opening of the annual market of folk decorative arts goods
At 12 midday there'll be the opening of Rīga's traditional cultural festival
Throughout the day young and old masters of traditional singing, music, stories and dance will perform on the Vērmanes Garden stage. Folklore groups, folk musicians and dancers from the Rīgas Danču klubs (Rīga Folk Dance Club) will participate in the interesting programme, dancing, singing, playing, and having a great time. This Festival will be a great stop off point on the Great Masters Street from Ķīpsala to Mežaparks.
